Aight, so the drop of Nike’s Shred Boot has some major mixed feelings. Once this concept was dropped on the market, brands like Rome had started a protest boot campaign to keep these “Non Snowboard Related” brands out of the industry. Even SBC Mag was reluctant to put reviews on the magazine.
It’s definately understandable. We Snowboarders take pride in the sport and when some random just dips in with no history what so ever…then it becomes an issue.
But the same thing happened for Skateboarding with the Nike SB’s. Whats the difference? When I first saw the Zoom Force 1′s, that model was pretty plain and nothing special. But then these Danny Kass Double Tongue models dropped. I say their pretty dope. I like the colors and the trippy hippy image. Hey…hippies are cool. I mean look at LNP from Rome SDS. He busts anything anywhere and their magical hippy bus is painted like this too. Maybe their on to something…
